This popular workshop will show you how draw cartoons and comics. Cartooning is the art of clarity, simplification, caricature, and settings. Participants in this program will learn the simple yet powerful and fun way to express themselves through drawing characters and storyboards. This online class will introduce you to constructive drawing, expressive gesture, comic covers and finishing techniques based on some of the greatest drafts in animation and comic art. The goal is to introduce students to a full range of cartooning styles, giving students a well-rounded base and tools to master the styles they desire to draw in. They will definitely impress themselves and all their friends with this new exciting skill.
Instructor Bio
Mario Sorrentino is a graduate of George Brown College with a major in Graphic Design & Project management. He has also specialized in animation, with experience in the disciplines of drawing, painting, photography and mixed media. He has been teaching and implementing drawing programs for two years in art workshops located in various community centres in the Vaughan area.
