Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will the school provide a lunch for my child?
A: We kindly ask that all campers bring their own lunches. We have a fridge to store items that need to be kept cool, as well as a microwave. Richmond Hill Art School will provide complimentary nut-free snacks such as fruits, crackers, and popcorn. However, we also encourage parents to pack snacks as well.
Q: How many breaks will there be throughout the day?
A: We offer 10-15 minutes snack break in the morning and afternoon, as well as a 1 hour lunch break + movie time around noon.
Q: Does my child need to bring a lunch if they are registered for half-day?
A: Lunch is held from 12:00 to 1:00pm. Both morning and afternoon half-day campers will overlap during this time, with the crossover occurring around 12:30 pm. If you’d prefer, you’re welcome to bring your own lunch, as there will still be time for all campers to eat at the studio during the designated lunch hour.
Q: Does my child need to bring any materials with them to camp?
A: No. Richmond Hill Art School provides all materials used for camp activities.
Q: How many campers will be in the studio?
A: Our camp capacity is 25 campers maximum per day. We have one camp leader and two camp assistants to supervise.
Q: Will there be outside time?
A: Due to the below negative temperatures in the Winter, students will remain indoors. We will provide games and activities during indoor recess/snack breaks for extra fun.
