About the Workshop

Let your imagination soar through an exploration of materials, ideas and emotions! This workshop introduces students to a variety of de-stressing art techniques, such as: creating watercolor backgrounds, expressive ink pouring, pen and ink sketches, creative doodling, and bullet/gratitude journaling. Students will discover the process of binding together a unique journal from start to finish. Each session will focus on an exciting art technique that will be added into creative handmade journals.

About the Teacher

Lo-Ruama has been a teacher for 8 years and has been working with RHAS for the past 4 years. She teaches weekly classes at our school, as well as camps and adult paint nights. She has taught age groups all the way from 3 years old to adults. Lo-Ruama was born and raised in Italy near the Garda Lake on the Prealps of Brescia. Her artwork is often inspired by European landscapes. Coming from an artistic family, as a young child, Lo-Ruama taught herself how to draw. Every week she would experiment with new projects, including beading, sewing, calligraphy and photography. Now she specializes in realism and her mediums of choice are acrylic, watercolour painting and ink. She also creates commissioned paintings and calligraphy pieces for weddings. Lo-Ruama is very passionate and her goal is to share her techniques with her students at RHAS
