drawing kids classes: elements and principles of art

In this level, you will explore drawing, colour theory, composition, and try a variety of mediums such as acrylic paints, oil pastels, ink, charcoal pencils, and watercolours. Children learn fundamentals in drawing and painting, engage in a variety of drawing, painting, print-making, and sculpting activities, and are introduced to a variety of art tools, materials, and techniques. They learn some of the elements and principles of design and begin to describe how the elements are used by artists. They generate and develop visual ideas, use their imagination and observation, and experiment with materials. They will be able to apply their knowledge of design elements and principles to create works of art that tell stories and express thoughts, feelings, and insight.
