Summer is fast approaching and before you know it, we will be shedding our trench coats for jean jackets, and even complaining about the heat! This change in weather can only mean one thing for a parent … the end of the school year! There will soon be plenty of time to spend with the children, so what do you have planned? If you need some help deciding, here is a list of summer activities happening at Richmond Hill Art School:

Fine Arts Summer Camp
Weeks of July 7, 14, & 20
Every week for 3 glorious weeks in July, kids will have the opportunity to experiment with fine arts and drama in our Fine Arts Summer Camp!
Creativity will flow as they draw, paint, model with clay, learn the basics of fashion design and architecture, and so much more! Once a week, students will dabble in the dramatic arts, building up their self confidence as they perform in front of their fellow camp goers. A Gallery visit is also included, exposing them to the world of art. And to balance out the fart activities, there will be daily visits to the park to get kids up and active!

Art Expo
June 21
Join us at our Art Expo as we celebrate our students and their amazing work! This past year, our students have really grown as artists and we are honoured to exhibit the work they have created. It’s a day full of art, music, and food, with live musicians serenading the community. It truly is an amazing way to spend Father’s Day!

Andrew Sookrah’s Art Exhibition
June 25-30
The amazing, Andrew Sookrah is teaming up with RHAS to exhibit his beautiful work! Sookrah is an established Toronto artist with […] years of experience in the art scene. His new show, “…….,” will take place this June, with a VIP viewing on June 25 and open-to-public gallery visits from June 26-30. Anyone looking to purchase art work or interested in his work will not want to miss this event!

Social Painting Night
June 8, July 13, August 10
Once a month, RHAS organizes a Social Painting Night! Take a break from the kids to enjoy a night of painting and wine. Social painting has become a very trendy activity to do, but what sets RHAS apart is that they provide a handmade outline of a classic, and you get to choose from 3 options! Whether you come to paint, to sip wine, or to meet people, you will not be disappointed!
