COVID-19 Response Action

Our school has quickly responded to the need of our clients and built an ONLINE PLATFORM for conducting teacher led art classes over the internet. This platform allowed us to continue to teach art classes during the initial lockdown period of April-June, 2020 and the current lockdown. We are also making full use of the online teaching platform for accommodating students who are unable to attend classes in the studio.

We offer a wide range of art classes for kids and teens, from SK to Grade 12. Our fine arts program is designed for students who want to build upon their creativity and improve their artistic techniques. Our instructors are well trained professional artists, who keep students engaged and entertained throughout each session. Each project is designed to teach our students new art skills, explore a variety of mediums and art forms, and learn about art history and art theory.

What sets our art school apart?

– Our unique program is based on the Richmond Hill Art School curriculum, that has been built and improved upon over years of teaching fine art
– We take complimentary art gallery trips twice a year, allowing our student to leave the classroom and be exposed to the world of historic and contemporary art
– We organize an annual end of the year art exhibition where each student gets to showcase their best work fo the year and celebrate their accomplishments with their friends and family
– We provide opportunities to our students for art competitions and awards in the local and global community

Visual Arts Curriculum

Our fine arts curriculum is designed to help students to develop their creativity, build strong technical skills, try new mediums, explore new themes, and create visually impressive artwork that they can be proud of.

Our philosophy at Richmond Hill Art School is that visual arts can help students develop their ability to communicate their understanding of the world around them. By learning how to express themselves visually, students will sharpen their powers of observation, imagination, and invention.

Each of our lessons are designed to grow the student’s “artistic toolbox”. Regardless of their age or experience, we believe that with consistency, time, and patience, our students progressively gain the skill to bring their creativity to life.

Why is Art education important to your child and their future?

Not many make the immediate connection between art education and the multitude of skills that go far beyond the studio into the bigger areas of life; character building, successful connections, future occupations and careers.
