Life Drawing + Independent Projects

Starting with the basics of life drawing, composition, design, to an exploration of a wide variety of different styles of creative expression, you will be guided through sessions of quick and long poses working from professional and experienced male and female models. Variety of art materials and mediums can be explored.

Course is led by Andrew Sookrah, an accomplished Canadian painter and sculptor.

Along with live demonstrations using different techniques, Andrew Sookrah will provide individual guidance for independent projects on improving artistic expertise. Skills refined here will help artists in all other forms of artistic expression. A great opportunity to practice drawing the human figure or work on your individual projects ranging from landscape, abstract or portraiture. (class for ages 14+)

Life Drawing School Program

Local public and private High School Arts Program groups are welcome to arrange special day sessions. Ask for group price details. School program encourage inquiry and critical thinking through conversation and sketching, as well as interactive learning exercises based on observation of human figure.
