Watercolours Drawing Class

Led by a renown artist and instructor Andrew Sookrah (sookrah.ca), this course offers structured guidance for beginners and more advanced support for accomplished painters in watercolour. Whether working with the basic colours or a full palette, artists will be encouraged to find or finesse their unique way of expressing themselves in this versatile medium. While individual feedback will be provided several times during the day over the course of the workshop, one area of focus will be the need to keep things fresh and dramatic during the process of creating a watercolour painting.

Basic drawing techniques, brushwork, perspective, composition, colour, texture, use of material will be explored. If your painting is not completed by the end of the day, the instructor will follow up by email or phone with artists wishing to get further guidance in taking their piece to a finished state.
