As June approaches, and our Fine Arts Program slowly comes to an end, we look back and reminisce on how much our students have grown in the past year. Every year, for the past ten years, we have organized our annual Art Expo to celebrate our students and their creative excellence. We cannot say enough how proud we are of them and of the hard work they put in every single week at the studio. It is through their success that Richmond Hill Art School continues to grow as a successful art school.
On June 21, 2015 (2pm – 5pm), hundreds of art pieces will be exhibited throughout the studio and in the courtyard of the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. Musicians will entertain our guests as they admire piece after piece. Our guests will be able pick up a paint brush and get creative on a large community canvas where you will build on what has been painted before you. Face painting will be available for kids and adults alike. There will be plenty of snacks and refreshments to go around at the studio! Between 2pm and 5pm, close to 300 visitors will be passing through to marvel at the amazing work our of talented students. This is a grande art affair and we cannot be more excited to bring this to you!
Last year, we not only saw friends and families supporting our students, but Dave Barrow, the Mayor of Richmond Hill, Counsellour Nick Papa of Arts Richmond Hill, Karine Rashkovsky of Brain Power, York University Officials, representatives of local art organizations, and local dignitaries attended as well. It was wonderful to feel the support from our community in Richmond Hill. This year, we hope to see even more people as our event takes place on Father’s Day and the art expo is a great way to spend time with your family.
We invite you to discover what we do here at Richmond Hill Art School. Students and parents will have the chance to meet our wonderful teachers, to discuss our 2015/16 Fine Arts Program, and to register for the upcoming year.
