Everybody speaks the language of art!
Richmond Hill Art School specializes in High Quality Fine Arts Education with many exiting yet sophisticated projects throughout Summer Art Camp. Taught by professional artists and certified teachers, our fine arts and drama day camps give your child the freedom to express themselves, be creative, develop new ideas, and take risks. Our Exciting Art Camp designed for grades SK-6 and suitable for both art students and those not registered in an art program. Screen time is very limited to art related short clips. During each exciting camp week we will use a lot of creative techniques like watercolors, collage, sculptures. We will combine traditional styles with thinking outside the box! We will take an inspiration from strong colors and textures. Campers will start their day with an evaluation and discovery of a specific technique, from drawing/sketching to 3D sculpture and painting. After lunch, campers enjoy a mix of hands-on craft projects, or a walk to nearby park (weather permitting) and get active with music and movements programs before resuming more art activities in the mid-afternoon. Camp leader is our senior art instructor Michelle Richards Clermont who brings along many years of experience with young artists to create the most engaging, fun and education experience to your child.

Health and Safety
We ask all our parents to be mindful of the fact that children attending camp may have severe allergies. Therefore, we prohibit all nut products. Please make sure that your child does not bring any food items containing nuts.
It is crucial that RHAS is aware of medical conditions and/or allergies. They must be reported to RHAS prior to the student’s attendance. For specific allergies, indications must be worn by the student. Any student required to take medication at school must report the medication and its use to RHAS for approval. No medication can be held by the student during his studies unless approved.
Parents must provide the Camp Director with all the medication their child requires. All medication must be clearly labelled with the camper’s name, the exact dosage, and the time it is to be administered in the Health Conditions section of the Registration Form. Campers requiring an EpiPen must have 2 available: one to be kept at the front reception and one to be carried by the child (grade 1+) or by the counsellor (if child is under 6). RHAS must be notified if any medications need to be refrigerated. Administration of medication must be approved by the school and may be assisted by staff. If any medication is considered hazardous to the health of others or the student, the student may be sent home.
